The YMCA provides programmes which encourage social responsibility and build Great New Zealanders.  As we continue to respond to the needs of our community, we ask that you think how you can partner with the YMCA to support our mission.

The YMCA is the cornerstone of a strong, caring and safe community, helping to build strong children, strong families and strong communities.

Your local YMCA has been running camping, outdoors, leadership and development programmes for 100 years.

While many of our activities rely on Government contracts, the YMCA provides and delivers programmes and activities that are needed in our community but are not always funded.

To help all who walk through our doors become great New Zealanders we need to ensure they have the tools needed to assist their learning, development and growth. Our values and work may inspire you to help support in a tangible way.

If you do wish to help then we have three areas where you can do just that!

The YMCA Camp Raukawa Giving Experience involves taking our local kids who have not experienced the joys of the outdoors and camp to YMCA Camp Raukawa. These scholarships are designed to bolster confidence, develop leadership and encourage self-development while being active.

To contribute a donation to enable a child to experience a full week at Camp Raukawa please email us with your desired option.

• Contribution toward a child - $50
• Week long Camp Raukawa Giving Experience - $350
• 10 kids for a week Outdoors Giving Experience - $3500.

The Scholarship Fund
In the course of a year YMCA Central will come into contact with almost 1000 children in our area.  Many of these children could, with some extra help, continue to achieve with the YMCA activities but cannot always do so. With your help our Managers can select the most promising kids who come from difficult circumstances to keep their development going. So show your spirit and help us to build great New Zealanders. Become a supporter of your local YMCA Foundation
You may have benefitted from the YMCA when you were growing up, or may have come into contact with our work in the community. To make a lasting contribution to keep the local YMCA doing the work we have been doing for another 100 years then please consider a donation to our Foundation or consider making a bequest. Even a small percentage will help us invest in our future as the cornerstone of our community.
