YMCA is the largest provider of OSCAR programmes in New Zealand. Our goal is to provide a service that is affordable and convenient for parents and which is safe and fun for the children. The programme is largely recreational with children participating in a variety of activities. We aim to meet the recreational, social and developmental needs of the children in a safe and responsive setting.
YMCA has three pre- and after- school care options available for each age group. Transport to and from your child’s after school activities can be arranged as part of the programme.

Oscar Breakfast Club (YMCA Community Centre only)
This runs from 6.30 – 8.00am. Children need to be dropped off at the venue and we will transport them to school. A breakfast is provided every morning.
After School Oscar (All Venues)
This runs from 3:00 – 6:00pm, afternoon tea is provided. The YMCA’s programme can arrange transport for children from their school.
