Education at the YMCA plays an important role in our community. Our vocational and life skills courses offer students the opportunity to gain NCEA Level 1, 2, and 3. All our education programmes place great emphasis on personal growth and development.

The YMCA is a registered Private Training Establishment (PTE) with the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). YMCA Central caters for a variety of study areas and programmes cater for up to 350 trainees at any one time.

The courses we offer run in Wanganui, Palmerston North, Waimarino, Rangitikei, Horowhenua and Tararua.

We have open enrolments into our programmes throughout the year. Under certain criteria these courses are free.
